Introducing the Call Me Cali Cocktail, made with Patrón Reposado and crafted by L.A.’s own Charity Johnson. Expect notes of citrus, vanilla and oak in this savory sipper along with a bit of earthiness — as one would expect of any good cocktail made with California in mind.
Call Me Cali Cocktail Recipe
- 2 oz Patrón Reposado
- .75 oz Chardonnay, artichoke & vanilla agave*
- .75 oz Lemon juice
- .5 oz Almond orgeat
- Garnish:3 Artichoke leaves on a bamboo pick & 2 Edible flowers
- Add all ingredients in a small mixing tin with ice.
- Shake and strain over ice into a rose-bud shaped glass.
- Garnish with 3 raw artichoke leaves and 2 edible flowers.
*Chardonnay, artichoke & vanilla agave:
Steam 1 artichoke for 10 minutes on medium-low heat until semi soft. In a Cambro, dilute 2 parts agave to 1 part hot water. Add the artichokes to agave while still hot from boiling water. Add one sliced vanilla bean. Let steep for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Strain artichoke pieces and vanilla bean. Once agave is infused with vanilla bean and artichoke, add Chardonnay. For 1 quart, add .25 quarts Chardonnay. (Use an oaked California Chardonnay, preferably buttery with body.)
