The Beet Is On: A Vibrant Cocktail Fit for the Magic City

Miami knows how to bring the heat in more ways than one, so the signature cocktail for Patrón’s Secret Dining Society event in the Magic City had to pass muster in a major way. Thankfully, master mixologists Stephen Halpin and Seth Weinberg were up to the task.
Their creation? A vibrant twist on a classic margarita, featuring smooth Roca Patrón Reposado and citrusy ginger flavors with a heavy dose of earthy beet juice. Aptly named The City That Always Beets, the cocktail truly didn’t miss a beat.
The City That Always Beets
- 1.5 oz Roca Patrón Reposado
- 1 oz purple beet juice
- .75 oz lemon juice
- .75 oz ginger-agave syrup
- Lemon wheel, for garnish
- Beet cube, for garnish
Add all the ingredients to a cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously and strain into a rocks glass over ice. Add a stir straw, garnish with a lemon wheel and beet cube, then serve.
