Meet the Caipirita, a Fresh New Spin on the Brazilian Caipirinha
Sep. 9, 2019
This sweet-and-tart spin on the caipirinha, a classic Brazilian cocktail, incorporates the same simple syrup, lime and sugar cube as the original. Replace the standard cachaça with versatile Roca Patrón Silver, and you’ll be the host with the most. Roca Patrón Silver is a premium tequila that’s a great substitute for vodka and rum in a variety of cocktail recipes.
- 1.5 oz Roca Patrón Silver
- .75 oz Simple syrup
- 1 Demerara sugar cube
- 3 Lime wedges, halved
- In the bottom of a double old-fashioned glass, muddle the lime wedges, simple syrup and sugar cube.
- Add ice and Roca Patrón Silver, then transfer the drink back and forth twice between the glass and tin.
- Pour back into the double old-fashioned glass, top with more ice if needed and serve.
