Añejo-Cherry Smash
This light and refreshing, sparkling cocktail will make happy hour a bowl of cherries, or at least taste like one.
Recipe Ingredients
| 2 oz | Patrón Añejo |
| 4 | Sweet fresh cherries, stems and pits removed |
| 1 | Thin orange slice |
| 1 tsp | Agave nectar |
| .25 | Whole vanilla bean |
| 2 oz | Club soda |
| 3-5 | Ice cubes |
| + | Sweet fresh cherry for garnish |
| + | Orange wedge for garnish |
| 60 ml | Patrón Añejo |
| 4 | Sweet fresh cherries, stems and pits removed |
| 1 | Thin orange slice |
| 1 tsp | Agave nectar |
| .25 | Whole vanilla bean |
| 60 ml | Club soda |
| 3-5 | Ice cubes |
| + | Sweet fresh cherry for garnish |
| + | Orange wedge for garnish |
Unless noted, drinks should be made one at a time.
How to Make
- Place the pitted cherries, orange slice and agave nectar in a cocktail shaker.
- Scrape the seeds from inside the vanilla bean and add to the shaker, along with the scraped pod.
- Muddle the fruit to a pulp, add the Patrón Añejo and shake.
- Pour over ice in a collins glass and top with club soda.
- Garnish with a whole cherry and an orange wedge, then serve.
