Texas Twist

A modern, sparkling cocktail with smoky grapefruit flavor meant to be sipped under the open sun.
Recipe Ingredients
| 2 oz | Patrón Añejo |
| 3 oz | Grilled grapefruit juice* |
| 3 oz | Topo Chico or sparkling mineral water |
| 1 oz | Simple syrup |
| .75 oz | Lime juice |
| 60 ml | Patrón Añejo |
| 90 ml | Grilled grapefruit juice* |
| 90 ml | Topo Chico or sparkling mineral water |
| 30 ml | Simple syrup |
| 22.5 ml | Lime juice |
Unless noted, drinks should be made one at a time.
How to Make
- Add all ingredients, except Topo Chico, to a cocktail shaker with ice.
- Shake vigorously and strain into a collins glass filled with ice.
- Top with Topo Chico.
- Garnish with half a grapefruit wheel.
*Grilled grapefruit juice:
Cut one grapefruit in half and grill for 5 minutes until lightly charred. Allow to cool, squeeze and strain to remove pulp and seeds.
