Penicillin Margarita
Sweet, spicy, and smokey, this honey-ginger margarita features warm honey syrup, lemon juice, and freshly cut ginger.
Recipe Ingredients
| 2 oz | Patrón Añejo |
| 0.75 oz | Fresh lemon juice |
| 0.75 oz | Honey syrup |
| 0.25 oz | Patrón Smoky |
| 2-3 | Quarter-size slices of fresh ginger |
| 60 ml | Patrón Añejo |
| 22.5 ml | Fresh lemon juice |
| 22.5 ml | Honey syrup |
| 7.5 ml | Patrón Smoky |
| 2-3 | Quarter-size slices of fresh ginger |
Unless noted, drinks should be made one at a time.
How to Make
- Muddle fresh ginger in a shaker.
- Add the remaining ingredients, except for the Patrón Smoky.
- Fill the shaker with ice and shake to chill; double-strain into an ice-filled rocks glass.
- Float the Patrón Smoky on top and garnish with candied ginger.
