International Ingredients for Success

Learn how everything went down (very smoothly) at The Patrón Perfectionists Global Final at Hacienda Patrón in Jalisco, Mexico.

Jan. 24, 2017

On January 24, the world was wowed as seven Perfectionists took their craft – and cocktails – to Hacienda Patrón for the Global Final of the Patrón Perfectionists Cocktail Competition. There, each bartender represented the best of the best from countries around the world to present their winning cocktail from that region’s competition:

The Bell of Jalisco presented by Mike McGinty, UK
Song of the Sea presented by Nick Cozens, Australia
El Pacto presented by Fernando Fastuca, Spain
Pimiento Goloso presented by Brice Martaud, France
Patrón Atole presented by Nicola Ruggeiro, Italy
Augurio presented by Macario Vazquez, Mexico
Jalisco Swizzle presented by Sudeera Fernando, UAE

When all was mixed, sipped and judged, it was Mike McGinty, General Manager of The Voyage of Buck in Edinburgh with The Bell of Jalisco that came out on top. Mike cites the time and attention given to crafting Patrón as the inspiration for his complex and delightful cocktail, featuring Patrón Reposado. A host of other unique ingredients rounded out the flavor profile like chamomile-infused dry vermouth and yellow bell pepper shrub, amongst others.

Try The Bell of Jalisco to get a true taste of perfection and learn more about its creator, World Champion Patrón Perfectionist, Mike McGinty.
