HOW TO STORE UNOPENED TEQUILA BOTTLES
PATRÓN Tequila comes in a glass bottle and is sealed tightly with a cork. This prevents air from entering your spirit. Store your tequila bottles in a cool, dark place, away from direct sunlight, and any source of heat. It is best to store your tequila in an upright position. Unlike wine, tequila does not benefit from being stored on its side. In fact, storing tequila bottles upright helps prevent contact between the liquid and the cork, reducing the risk of spoilage.
SHOULD TEQUILA BE REFRIGERATED AFTER OPENING?
Tequila does not require refrigeration. In fact, refrigerating tequila is not necessary and may even alter the taste and aromas that are meant to be enjoyed at room temperature. The same goes with putting tequila in the freezer—the low temperatures may cause its compounds to separate and the texture might become thick, syrupy, and undesirable. If you do prefer your tequila cold, chill it in the refrigerator for a short period of time before serving. As a general rule of thumb, your tequila should be stored in a consistent environment. Fluctuations in temperature can affect its flavor and quality. Ideally, store tequila between 15º C to 20º C.
Make the most out of your PATRÓN Tequila, regardless of which bottle of our fine collection you might own.
