How to Rim a Glass

Rimming a glass adds an extra layer of flavor to your drink. Rim your cocktail like a pro with these quick and easy steps.

  1. Cut a lime in half.
  2. Using one half of the lime, rub the juice on the outside edge of a glass making sure not to get any inside—or it will change the flavor of your cocktail.
  3. Evenly spread salt, sugar or other ingredients to rim the glass within a shallow dish.
  4. Gently roll all or part of the edge of the glass in the ingredients to cover it evenly.
  5. Shake the glass to get any excess garnish off.
  6. Fill with your cocktail and enjoy!
