Originally from Austin, Texas, Gui started his career in Miami where he had numerous coveted roles before becoming an original member of Broken Shaker Miami Beach. He’s currently the Bars Director for Freehand Hotel and Bar Lab, which includes operations for a handful of celebrated bars around the country. He’s won numerous awards, many for his work at Broken Shaker, including Best American Hotel Bar 2015, a spot on The 50 Best Bars in the World list in  2014 – 2016, and being named one of Food and Wine Magazine’s 10 Best New Mixologists in 2015.
