Savory yet spicy mustard seed, lemon vinegar and sake make this modern summer cocktail come to life.
Recipe Ingredients
| 1.5 oz | Patrón Silver |
| .75 oz | Mustard seed syrup* |
| .333 oz | Umenoyado Yuzu Shu Sake |
| .25 oz | Fresh lemon juice |
| 2 | Barspoons lemon vinegar |
| + | Garnish with mustard seed sea salt** |
| 45 ml | Patrón Silver |
| 22.5 ml | Mustard seed syrup* |
| 9.99 ml | Umenoyado Yuzu Shu Sake |
| 7.5 ml | Fresh lemon juice |
| 2 | Barspoons lemon vinegar |
| + | Garnish with mustard seed sea salt** |
Unless noted, drinks should be made one at a time.
How to Make
- Combine all ingredients in a mixing tin with ice and shake to chill.
- Double strain into a coupe glass.
- Garnish with mustard seed sea salt** and fancy lemon peel expressed, trimmed and rested on rim of glass.
*Mustard Seed Syrup:
Mix 2 parts warm water to 1 part honey. Put in blender with 1 teaspoon freshly ground brown mustard seed (finely ground in a spice blender) and 1/4 teaspoon Morton's Mediterranean Fine Sea Salt. Blend thoroughly and then fine strain.
**Mustard Seed Sea Salt:
Mix 3 parts freshly ground brown mustard seed to 1 part Morton's Mediterranean Fine Sea Salt.
