Stargarita
This 2016 Margarita of the Year contender is an unexpected take on the tropical margarita that combines light mint flavors with the sweetness of star fruit.
Recipe Ingredients
| 1.5 oz | Patrón Silver |
| .5 oz | Mint tea syrup |
| .5 oz | Fresh lime juice |
| .5 oz | Star fruit puree or muddled star fruit |
| + | Salt rim |
| + | Slice of star fruit for garnish |
| + | Lime wheel for garnish |
| 45 ml | Patrón Silver |
| 15 ml | Mint tea syrup |
| 15 ml | Fresh lime juice |
| 15 ml | Star fruit puree or muddled star fruit |
| + | Salt rim |
| + | Slice of star fruit for garnish |
| + | Lime wheel for garnish |
Unless noted, drinks should be made one at a time.
How to Make
- Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake with ice to chill.
- Strain over fresh ice into a salt-rimmed collins glass.
- Garnish with a slice of star fruit and a lime wheel.
*Mint tea syrup:
- Combine 2 cups of sugar and 2 cups of water and bring to a boil.
- Remove from heat and steep 4 mint tea bags for 30 mins.
