A tequila twist on a California classic, this summer cocktail brings 5 Spice intrigue and bright citrus together in one glass.
Recipe Ingredients
| 1.5 oz | Patrón Añejo |
| .5 oz | Citrónge Orange Liqueur |
| .5 oz | Chinese 5 Spice Syrup* |
| .5 oz | Lemon juice |
| + | 5 Spice with sugar rim** |
| 45 ml | Patrón Añejo |
| 15 ml | Citrónge Orange Liqueur |
| 15 ml | Chinese 5 Spice Syrup* |
| 15 ml | Lemon juice |
| + | 5 Spice with sugar rim** |
Unless noted, drinks should be made one at a time.
How to Make
- Add all ingredients (except rim) to a mixing glass with ice.
- Shake and strain up into a rimmed coupe.
*Chinese 5 Spice Syrup:
Combine Barkeep Chinese 5 Spice Bitters and simple syrup, adding 4 drops bitters per each oz of simple syrup. (Or DaVinci or Torani Five Spice Syrup.)
** 5 Spice with sugar rim:
Combine 1 part grated cinnamon and star anise to 8 parts sugar.
